A Look at the Week Ahead

Spring break for the boy is finally over. Not that I Erik or I had a break! I still had school and Erik worked on a landscaping project all week. He did a damn good job too! I'll have to post pictures later.

So, Zach heads back to school, and he still has over a month left! They started in August, you'd think they'd finish in May, but that's not the case - they go until the first week of June. But with a field trip and a field day during the month, maybe it won't seem so bad.

This week is my finals week. My paper is due tomorrow and it's actually done! Yes, I know - you think I'm  pulling your leg - but I'm really not. Since I got a passing grade on my first draft, I didn't have that much to do to fix my final draft.

Tuesday is our last weekly scout meeting before the summer. We have summer activities planned; camping in May, Rain-gutter Regatta in June, and roller skating in July but as for the weekly meetings this is it. I'm proud to report that all my Tigers earned their ranks, some electives, and belt loops too. Very cool.

Wednesday I have my Sociology final, which is not a cumulative test. Just a regular test that happens to take place on finals day. I plan on studying for this one the same way I have for all the others. That system is working great for me, so there's no reason to change it.

Friday is the dreaded Math final. Which is cumulative. So most of my week is going to be spent going over all the old quizzes and tests making sure I know or can at least figure out how to work the problems. The newer stuff I'm not that worried about - it's the stuff from 16 weeks ago that has me more than a little nervous!

So, what am I going to do with myself once I'm out of school? Well, I plan to be the stalking parent at school again. Well, I'm still the stalking parent, but not as bad as I was when I wasn't in school. Now I'll have all that free time though. Watch out Cherryvale! I'm also going to catch up on my reading. Oh and maybe actually go grocery shopping regularly again! That would make my family very happy. Sheesh, these people act like they need to eat or something! Can you believe the nerve of these boys?

I have only one month off before I go for my one lone summer class - Intro to Music - which starts May 30th and ends July 19th. I'm worried about this one because I have to sit in class for 2 1/2 hours two nights a week. I can barely make it through my 1 hour 15 minute class right now! I'll have to take a jug o' coffee with me for sure!

What are your plans for the week?

Until next time ~ Kris

  1. Hooray for finished papers! I would still be working on mine at this point.

I have finally conditioned my family to love cold cereal for all meals.

You're so busy, but I'm guessing do better. :)

I love your comments and I read them all. I'm not very good at replying to them though. It's one of my many downfalls. I hope you'll leave some anyway!
