Today is Zach's 5th grade promotion ceremony. He's excited, I'm a little freaked out! We will embrace that next week! This week we have an awesome shot of my two favorite guys. Mr. Hubby looking all spiffy in his blues (which he NEVER wears!) and my not so baby boy! And it wouldn't be an embrace without some shots of my boy and I! Saturday we had one of those Southern storms. You know the kind - 5 minutes of rain, wind, and hail that seems to hit only your neighborhood (and the neighborhood across the street!) and then leaves you without power for 6 hours. Except for the no power I would have loved it - I love storms. Hour 3 - hot and bored we decided to take a trip to WallyWorld. We ended up spending about an hour there. Yeah, it was hot at the house! The hubster and Zach checking out the candy aisle So we made our way home where power should have been restored and waiting for us! Nope - it was still going to be two more hours! So after some more boredom and lots of candles Zach and I decided goofing off with flashlights was the way to go. Say "Yoshi" I guess the under the face flashlight look only works when camping! I'm bad about embracing. I'm bad about blogging lately too. There's so much going on right now and a lot of it I'm not allowed to share until a certain number of things happen ~ or don't happen. Either way my bloggy hands are tied. I do take pictures though but I usually forget to post them so today I'll share some of our Embrace moments. Last week I spent some time pulling all those little memory cards out of cameras and downloading the pictures. It's absolutely amazing what you find! I think I found some pictures from two years ago at Disney! But those are not Embrace photos - they are just of Zach! I did find this little number on Zach's camera card though. He is much better at snapping those arms outstretched pictures than I am. Maybe his arms are longer? Who knows? I'm not even sure when this picture was taken - sometimes I'm a bad photo downloader! I've not seen the link up today for Embrace the Camera , but I'm going to post mine anyway. When it comes up on my reader I'll come back and add the link. I can only guess that Mrs. Anderson is still feeling quite icky. Hope you feel better soon! I guess I kind of cheated because I held onto these pictures from last weeks promotion ceremony. It's not very often we get pretty decent pictures though.  You can't tell but I'm wearing a dress {hehe don't you love how that 'conveniently' got left out?} folks - I'm wearing heels.... OK - not only is it Embrace the Camera Day  BUT It's also my Daddy's birthday! So even though you don't have a computer HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! Now - on to the pictures - yes two of them this week. Why? Because we had a field trip and field day last week *sheesh* people, think about it! AND I already have pictures for next week too because I just came back from Zach's promotion ceremony for just a few more days I will have a 4th grader. I'm so not ready to think about 5th grade right now OK so here we go...  this is our picture at the State House  from the field trip I concentrate too much I think! Wow. I haven't done this in a while. I'm not sure why I stopped - but I have a picture today. So let's Not only did I get new glasses, but so did Zach. I've got to start making our appointments six months apart! But here we are sporting our new looks!
